Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide students with hands-on practice writing analytic reports based on SIGINT in accordance with NSA reporting standards and policies.

Learning Outcomes:

  • demonstrate procedures to minimize protected identities in a report
  • write a Tear Line or sanitized lead/title while protecting sources and methods
  • apply report externals to a report
  • write an analytic report based on SIGINT (EGRAM), including collateral, and endnotes, in accordance with NSA guidance and standards
  • write analytic comments for a report to provide the author’s interpretation of the SIGINT facts
  • determine Intelligence Source Descriptor (ISD), identity, access, and reliability information
