Letter to the Department of Homeland Security on Processing DACA Renewals

April 13, 2018

ACE and 36 other higher education associations sent this letter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) April 13 advocating for timely processing of all Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) renewal applications. The letter commends DHS's decision to initiate the renewal process as a result of the Jan. 8 preliminary injunction issued in Regents of the University of California v. Department of Homeland Security but expresses concern regarding delays in the process.

The letter urges DHS and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to expedite the review and processing of all renewal applications and to give prompt attention to submissions that have recently expired or will expire in the coming days and weeks.
