Introducing Monthly Live Policy Updates on ACE Engage
Published: December 02, 2019

ACE is debuting a new feature called the Public Policy Pop-Up on ACE Engage®, ACE’s peer-to-peer online community and learning platform for higher education executives.

Each month, members of ACE’s government relations team will provide casual, conversational updates on the latest developments in federal policy affecting higher education. The aim is to give campus decision-makers an inside view into the latest public policy developments and exploring what lies ahead. Each session will be streamed live in webinar format as well as recorded and archived on the platform for later viewing.

The first Public Policy Pop-Up will take place Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 1:00 pm ET. ACE Senior Vice President Terry Hartle and Jon Fansmith, director of government relations, will discuss the prospects of the federal budget and appropriations process for fiscal year 2020 as well as regulatory developments in the Department of Education, such as the pending final rule on Title IX campus sexual assault regulations and a proposal to expand reporting requirements for foreign gifts and contracts.

This recurring Public Policy Pop-Up is in addition to events such as the ACE Engage-exclusive question and answer session the day after the Dec. 10, open-to-all-who-register webinar on Higher Education Act Reauthorization

ACE Engage is a place where higher education executives can utilize a rich set of tools for peer exchange and a growing library of executive education content created and curated by ACE. The platform is currently free to use. Campus leaders can set up a complimentary account from the login page by clicking on “sign up.”

ACE Engage users can find the Public Policy Pop-Up and other upcoming events in the top-right corner of their home page or in the “Events” tab.
