ACE Partners With SNHU to Explore Best Practices for Remote Learning
April 06, 2020

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), known for its robust online programs, will be offering a series of informational and interactive opportunities on ACE Engage® over the next two weeks to help campuses make the quick transition to virtual courses.

April 8 and 9 will feature two webinars presented on adapting to virtual learning. The first, “How Leadership Can Support Rapid Faculty Adaptation to Online Courses,” will suggest tools faculty need, help define realistic expectations, explore new ways to make faculty and students accountable for coursework, and chart a course for faculty evaluation. The following day, “Supporting Students New to Learning Virtually” will focus on resources and expectations from the student learning perspective, as well as new course structures, classroom management techniques, and everything faculty will need to know to deliver effective online courses for their students.

SNHU’s technical, training, and faculty-engagement experts will offer online office hours on April 10 to answer questions about specific campus challenges. The event is called “Navigating Technical Challenges of a Rapid Shift Online.” Click here to register.

Finally, attend an online presentation on “Advising Students Virtually in Uncertain Times” April 15. Learn about rethinking your advising infrastructure, best practices for providing quality online support, behaviors that drive student success, and guidelines to engage with students.

ACE will continue to develop content and compile resources relating to COVID-19 as the situation progresses. The best way to stay informed of future webinars, toolkits, discussions, and other resources is to join the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources and Guidelines group on Engage.
