Penn Foster College is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since its founding in 1891, the school has been a world leader in distance education and a pioneer in the development of self-paced, independent study materials. Penn Foster's mission is to enhance the lives of our students and clients through the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and credentials that will allow them to achieve their goals by advancing in their chosen field, starting a new career, or pursuing lifelong learning. Students are given access to the school for study materials, testing, and student services via an online learning management system.

The Penn Foster College academic team is comprised of Chief Learning Officer, Department Chairs, full-time instructors, adjunct instructors, graders, and educational consultants. Penn Foster College is accredited the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). It is licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education and is authorized to award Associate of Science Degrees, Bachelors of Science Degrees, Undergraduate Certificates, and Career Diploma programs. Penn Foster College is also a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).
