Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide more advanced topics including logarithms, trigonometry, vectors, and the basics of geometry.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate the ability to write numbers in exponential and logarithmic forms
  • Demonstrate skills in evaluating logarithms and working with the various properties of logarithms
  • Develop skills in solving word problems involving logarithms
  • Plot points and lines on a coordinate plane
  • Write and graph linear equations
  • Identify the slope of a line
  • Apply the skills needed to solve algebraic equations
  • Use the skills to solve systems of equations
  • Further demonstrate the abilities to set up and solve word problems involving multiple equations
  • Demonstrate the ability to measure and calculate dimensions of geometric figures
  • Calculate the area and volume of three-dimensional figures
  • Demonstrate the understanding of the relationships between the sides and angles of a right triangle
  • Solve problems that require the use of trigonometric skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to do vector operations
  • Demonstrate the ability to determine the magnitude and direction of vectors
  • Demonstrate skill in the basic operations of addition, subtraction, and multiplication of binary numbers
