Description

Objective:

The course objective is to practice and apply effective communication strategies with internship managers; identify aspects of corporate culture, explain its dynamic nature and its role in organizational success; plan and map out personal career and education plans for life after Year Up by identifying career goals and education needs; update professional job online profiles, portfolios, and job search documents to reflect skills and experience gained through internship; practice job search strategies and refine interviewing skills; and develop networking skills with peers and recruiters.

  • Perform job search practices: updating the professional portfolio, identifying relevant job opportunities, interviewing with potential employers and negotiating salary offers
