Description

Objective:

The course objective is to enable students to compare and contrast the biomedical and biophysical approach to health care, and identify errors and solutions within specific pathways to healing. Students will examine case studies and review epidemiological data in order to explain a global perspective approach to alternative medicine.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Distinguish approaches to related health issues in fields of alternative medicine and apply a global perspective to written responses
  • Interpret epidemiological data to identify errors, solutions and alternative pathways to achieve optimal health
  • Illustrate errors and solutions to health related issues and be able to cite examples through case study research and epidemiological data
  • Formulate a personal definition of health and ideological approach to medicine
