Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide the law enforcement student with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform effectively as an entry-level State Police Trooper.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Perform routine law enforcement duties to include issuing summonses or taking the appropriate enforcement action in both criminal codes and those that constitute traffic infractions as well as complete reports and provide court testimony
  • Investigate motor vehicle crashes to determine possible violations of law and process crime scenes and interview and interrogate involved parties, utilizing related techniques and in compliance with the case law and constitutional requirements, to place
