Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide a review of the regulations related to inventory/property reporting and how to apply IT systems reports to comply with VA requirements; outline the roles and responsibilities in generating, analyzing, and utilizing these reports to comply with VA reporting requirements.

  • Explain the principles of cost/quality/outcomes and how they relate to inventory management within VHA
  • Evaluate VHA cost-measuring reports to identify corrective actions that reduce overall costs of supplies and services, purchases, and carrying costs in VHA's Supply Chain
  • Use quality-measuring reports to determine corrective actions that improve the overall quality of data records in VHA's Supply Chain
  • Analyze outcomes-measuring reports to identify corrective actions and apply processes that improve accountability in the VHA's Supply Chain.
