Description

Objective:

The course objective is to prepare the logistics professional to participate in teams, propose communication and knowledge sharing, applies government and VA policies and procedures, and act as a SCM role model. The suite is further designed to offer participants knowledge on managing a lean supply chain using nontraditional thinking processes; providing VA Supply Chain Management employees information on how to recognize and eliminate wasteful activities in the supply chain in order to increase speed and flow.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply problem-solving and decision-making techniques to real world supply chain scenarios. Students will likewise be introduced to the Theory of Constraints (TOC) perspective of the supply chain process and how it helps organizations manage physical and policy constraints.
