Description

Objective:

To examine project management roles and environments, the project life cycle work planning, control, and evaluation to achieve project objectives.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Contrast the roles of project managers, of systems analysis, and explain the relationship between project and line managers
  • Describe techniques used to manage groups working on a project team
  • Produce a statement of work (SOW) and decompose overall project goals
  • Define the characteristics of a project
  • Develop a work breakdown structure (WBS), to achieve stated project objectives
  • Produce a task-flow network and a Gantt chart, using established tools and techniques for cost effectivenes
