To provide programming knowledge needed to train on sophisticated digital computerized systems; to provide in-depth knowledge of the theory, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of the PDP-8 digital computer; and to familiarize the student with associated peripheral devices commonly used to communicate with high-speed computers.
