To provide students with an understanding of automotive air pollution control; to train them to maintain motor vehicles equipped with air pollution control devices; and to develop the students' skill in preventive maintenance and engine tune-up, use of engine analyzing and tune-up equipment, analyzing engine performance, and testing and servicing air pollution control devices.
