Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide the training and certification in all aspects of canine behavior, along with case law, handling, training and employing a passive indication detection canine. Canines are taught to detect the odors of currency and firearms.

Learning Outcomes:

  • identify the procedures for ensuring safe deployment of canine teams
  • be able to identify and apply proper case law in the deployment of a detection canine
  • interpret the instincts, drives and character traits seen in all canines as well as the causes of aggressive behavior and the precautions you should take with a canine
