Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide training and certification in all aspects of canine behavior, along with case law, handling, training and employing a human remains detection canine. Canines are taught to detect the odors of human blood, body fluids, tissue, organs and bone at various stages of decomposition.

Learning Outcomes:

  • be able to identify and apply proper case law in the deployment of a human remains detection canine
  • interpret the instincts, drives and character traits seen in all canines as well as the causes of aggressive behavior and the precautions you should take with a canine
  • identify the procedures for ensuring safe deployment of canine teams
