Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide a seven-week basic training where the students will be able to classify, appraise and liquidate commercial imported merchandise in accordance with their stated authority in 19 USC 1500. In addition, students will be able to legally enforce laws protecting the public's health and safety, intellectual property rights and fair trade practices, while deterring terrorism and facilitating the flow of legitimate trade.

  • Classify, appraise, and liquidate commercial imported merchandise in accordance with 19 USC 1500
  • Enforce trade and tariff laws with regard to priority trade issues
  • Enforce laws protecting the public's health and safety, intellectual property rights and fair trade practices, while deterring terrorism and facilitating the flow of legitimate trade.
