Objective:

The course objective is to emulate the different approaches to leadership; apply aspects of leadership processes to understanding character development and trait identification in others; assess current leadership experiences and identify areas of further development; explore the nuances of emotional intelligence in action to gain buy-in, respect, and overall cooperation; practice how to leverage personal strengths and the strengths of others; explore the benefits of mentorship; engage in community service; learn and apply principles of group development, provide valuable feedback, and collaborate in decision-making; and learn and apply how to advocate for a point of view and negotiate with others during a conflict.
