Description

Objective:

The course objective is to educate individuals wishing to pursue a Texas commissioned security officer certification or those needing renewal of their Texas armed commissioned security license on verbal and written communication best practices, incident scene security, situational awareness, use of force, conflict resolution, and an introduction to defensive tactics, handcuffing, and weapons and firearms. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to complete the in-person practical applications activities for firearms qualifications and defensive tactics and apply to the TOPS database as an “Armed Registration – Commissioned Security Officer” and receive their certification.
