Description

Objective:

The course objective is to educate law enforcement and non-commissioned personnel assigned to latent print examination on the ACE-V Methodology (Analysis, Comparison, Evaluation, and Verification). Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to complete a basic fingerprint comparison and justify their conclusions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Complete the first step of the ACE-V method, analysis.
  • Complete the last step of the ACE-V method, verification.
  • Describe the history and science of fingerprint analysis and comparison.
  • Complete the second and third step of the ACE-V method, comparison and evaluation.
