Objective:

The Disaster Management for Water and Wastewater Utilities course is designed to provide training to water and wastewater professionals on issues concerning preparing for, responding to, and recovering from natural or human-caused disasters that threaten water and wastewater facilities and systems.

Learning Outcomes:

  • discuss all-hazard threats that might affect water or wastewater systems
  • practice disaster planning and management for water and wastewater incidents
  • identify methods to mitigate disasters that threaten water and wastewater facilities and systems
  • determine appropriate response actions to an actual or threatened incident
