Description

Objective:

The course objective is to review the basics of information security, as well as important topics pertaining to network encryption, firewall systems, authentication, auditing and configurations.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify and assess current and anticipated security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Configure and maintain Cisco ASA 5505 to meet requirements outlined in security policies
  • Explain static address translation
  • Protect network from internal external threats
  • Explain a network security plans and policies
  • Examine how instruction detection system (IDS) and intrusion prevention system (IPS) can be used for network defense
  • Implement wireless network security
  • Describe the role of virtual private networks (VPN).
