Description

Objective:

English 102 builds upon foundational writing skills to develop students' abilities in research-based argumentative writing. This course emphasizes the creation of well-reasoned, evidence-supported arguments addressing complex issues through critical engagement with scholarly sources. Students will learn effective research methodologies, evaluate source credibility, synthesize multiple perspectives, and craft cohesive academic arguments following MLA style standards. English 102 prepares students for advanced writing challenges by focusing on logical reasoning, strategic rhetoric, counterargument development, and effective communication through appropriate academic language, style,and mechanics.
