Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide students with knowledge of two important concepts in datamining: rule induction (introduced through the industry standard method APRIORI), and classification learning (using two decision tree methods: C4.5 and CHAID). Some machine learning methods, such as PRISM and INDUCT will also be taught.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the concept behind automated machine learning methods for generating recommendation systems and decision rules
  • Apply these methods
