• Recognize the various monitor types and output devices that attach to PCs and laptops
• Identify the key components required to network computers together
• Identify and describe the key components of smartphones and tablets
• Describe causes of common system failures and available troubleshooting tools
• Describe common printer failures and techniques for troubleshooting and resolving printer issues
• Describe the key features and functions of the Windows Operating Systems
• Personalize and customize the Windows desktop experience
• Use basic features of non-Windows operating systems such as Linux and Mac OS X
• Perform basic operating system, software, and disk troubleshooting
• Diagnose and repair common issues that arise with mobile devices
• Identify and describe PC memory and storage types
• Identify and describe the CPU socket types and component connections to the PC
• Describe various printer technologies and best practices for maintaining different printer types
