The objective of the course is to introduce the students to the various challenges and requirements that face intelligence during each phase of planning. The students are first familiarized with how each of the following support the planning process: Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace, associated products such as Center of Gravity analysis, and the Initial Staff Orientation brief. Next, the course focuses on how collection management, including requirements development and operations management, supports the follow-on phases of the planning process. The students will exercise these requirements and be presented with various challenges they may face during each phase of the planning process through war games, case studies, and practical applications.
