Description

Objective:

The course objective is to develop the student's understanding of the underwater world and how it interacts with the body, and how that affects the body when freediving; guide students in choosing appropriate equipment for freediving; and develop the knowledge and skills for basic static apnea, dynamic apnea, free immersion and constant weight freediving to a maximum depth of 16 meters/55 feet.

Learning Outcomes:

To successfully complete the course, the student must complete the knowledge development segment, including Knowledge Review, Freediver Exam and Freediver Quick Review.
Demonstrate the ability to swim continuously on the surface 200 meters/yards without swim aids, or 300 meters/yards using mask, fins and snorkel. Completed before first open water session
To successfully complete the course, the student must complete the Freediver Confined Water Session, making one static apnea attempt of at least 90 seconds and one dynamic apnea must be at least 25 meters/80 feet.
Complete Freediver Open Water Sessions One and Two, making one constant weight freedive to a minimum depth of at least 10 meters/30 feet
