Description

Objective:

The course objective is to familiarize divers with the knowledge, skills, techniques and procedures necessary to safely plan, organize and participate in deep dives between the depths of 60 feet/18 meters to 130 feet/40 meters

Learning Outcomes:

  • explain and demonstrate the planning, organization, procedures and techniques of deep diving
  • explain the risk factors, problems and hazards of deep diving
  • explain the use of decompression tables, safety stops, and emergency decompression procedures
  • explain the use of special equipment and considerations for deep diving, including descent lines and buoyancy-control
