Description

Objective:

The course is designed to bring a diver's knowledge and skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops leadership abilities, qualifying candidates to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. PADI Divemaster is the prerequisite certification for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications.

Learning Outcomes:

  • demonstrate the knowledge, attitudes, judgment and skills for supervising certified divers in shore-based and boat-based diving activities
  • demonstrate the knowledge, attitudes, judgment and skills for assisting with training divers in PADI courses
  • demonstrate the knowledge, attitudes, judgment and skills for independently conducting specific PADI programs for certified divers and non-divers (e.g., ReActivate, Discover Snorkeling, PADI Skin Diver course, and Discover Local Diving)
  • demonstrate knowledge of dive theory, water skills and rescue skills to the levels necessary to enter the PADI Assistant Instructor course and the PADI Instructor Development Course
