Description

Objective:

Provide advanced training that expands the student's diving knowledge and skills beyond that learned during an entry-level course. The course also provides divers with a structured means to explore areas of special diving interests and gain dive experience. The course sets the foundation for additional training, not only for PADI Specialties, but also for meeting other PADI course prerequisites that build on skills divers acquire during the training
dives.

Learning Outcomes:

  • demonstrate mastery of the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate underwater through completion of the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive
  • demonstrate mastery of the knowledge and skills necessary to safely participate in deep diving activities to a maximum depth of 30 meters/100 feet through completion of the Deep Adventure Dive
  • demonstrate mastery of the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in three elective diving activities from a choice of the following twenty-three different subject areas: altitude diving, boat diving, digital underwater imaging, drift diving, dry suit diving, fish identification, night diving, peak performance buoyancy, search and recovery diving, underwater naturalist, wreck diving, adaptive support diving, cavern diving, delayed surface marker buoy, dive against debris, diver propulsion vehicle diving, enriched air diving, full face mask diving, ice diving, rebreather diving, self-reliant diving, shark conservation dive, and Sidemount diving
