Description

Objective:

The course objective is to introduce cost analysis techniques for use in appraising contractor proposals and negotiation strategies.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify key cost analysis considerations
  • Analyze direct material, direct labor, other direct costs, indirect costs, facilities capital cost of money, and profit/fee
  • Identify the use and application of a contract audit
  • Appraise contractor's cost estimation and accounting systems
  • Calculate price/cost objective using simple regression analysis, improvement curve analysis and statistics
  • Apply negotiation skills to develop and execute effective contractual agreements
