Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide a foundational understanding of simplified acquisition procedures and foundational information to support their jobs as contracting officers and purchasing agents for the federal government.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate understanding of the federal acquisition process and explain the importance of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency regulations as they relate to federal acquisitions
  • Identify and apply the standards of conduct for procurement officers
  • Recognize the advantages of using simplified acquisition procedures

  • Define requirements in a manner to promote competition and encourage contractors to supply commercial items
