Description

Objective:

The course objective is to familiarize the student with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and relevant agency supplements through immersion.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and relevant agency supplements, including the history and structure of the FAR, and the basics of acquisition planning
  • Demonstrate knowledge of acquisition planning requirements, policies, procedures, and be able to find relevant information in the FAR and agency supplements
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the contract administration phase of the federal acquisition process
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the solicitation and award phase of the federal acquisition process, policies, procedures related to contract formation, and be able to find relevant information in the FAR and agency supplements
  • Find relevant information in the FAR and agency supplements, and recognize how to handle the variety of issues that may arise during the contract administration phase
