Objective:

To introduce the student to the environment, goals, and basic principles of cost and price analysis and contract negotiations.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Comprehend the environment of contract pricing
  • Comprehend the relationship between the variable cost, volume, profit, and various contract compensation arrangements
  • Apply selected techniques and approaches used in the evaluation of direct costs and profit analysis
  • Learn and practice the fundamentals of contract negotiation
  • Use the fundamentals of graphing, elementary math, and algebra
  • Apply selected techniques and develop the Government's prenegotiation position (Government Estimate)
  • Apply and integrate the various techniques utilizing a case study
