NHA’s Certified EKG Technician (CET) certification may be earned by eligible candidates who pass the CET exam, which is designed to assess the knowledge and skills associated with the performance of tasks required for professional practice as an entry-level EKG technician. The exam is comprised of 4-option multiple choice questions (100 scored items, 20 pretest), with a time limit of 2 hours. The exam is administered by trained proctors either at PSI test sites or NHA-authorized test sites at schools, military bases, and other approved locations. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must either complete a training program or have relevant work experience. NHA does not provide qualifying training.
