Objective:

The course objective is to introduce the participants to skills critical to engage the leadership challenges associated with the local emergency management organization and immediate local community.

Learning Outcomes:

  • explain the elements of a successful emergency management organizational communications system
  • analyze the pathways for reaching beyond your organization during a disaster; create a case study that explores complex emergency management issues

  • apply the creative design process to develop innovative solutions in your organization
  • apply strategies for creating an innovative organizational climate
