Objective:

The course objective is to delve into the leadership challenges faced by emergency management professionals in the broader emergency management community and profession.

Learning Outcomes:

  • analyze regionalization and whole community factors as related to increasing community capacity
  • investigate contemporary issues impacting emergency management and create strategies to address those issues
  • create an emergency management strategic narrative to lead organizational development
  • assess strategies for influencing the development of legislation, regulations and standards
