Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide training and resources to develop overall incident management skills for personnel who require an intermediate-level application of the Incident Command System (ICS).

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify the course scope, objectives, and classroom logistics to clearly understand course expectations and structure.
  • Apply the principles of Unified Command to identify roles and reporting relationships in single-jurisdiction and multijurisdictional scenarios.
  • Develop incident objectives and complete ICS planning forms (ICS Form 215 and 215A) based on simulated incident scenarios.
  • Create a complete Incident Action Plan (IAP) using appropriate ICS forms and supporting materials, and utilize the IAP to conduct an operational period briefing.
  • Explain key concepts of incident resource management and demobilization planning within the context of simulated emergency response operations.
