Description

Objective:

The course objective is to expand upon the concepts of exercise design and development introduced in HSEEP by providing participants with techniques and tools for designing both simple and complex exercises, conducting exercise planning meetings, and establishing the foundations for effective exercise evaluation.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Assess and apply the components of a comprehensive exercise program by building upon the HSEEP framework throughout the course.
  • Formulate and organize an effective Exercise Planning Team (EPT) as a foundational step in the exercise design and development process.
  • Develop SMART exercise objectives aligned with core capabilities and organizational priorities through comparative analysis and structured composition.
  • Demonstrate understanding of exercise types and mechanisms and how they work together to achieve defined exercise objectives.
  • Apply HSEEP doctrine to complete key exercise planning documents and integrate appropriate exercise enhancements, as demonstrated through unit activities and the culminating course project.
