Objective:

The course objective is to establish the foundational knowledge and skills required by a baseline deliberate planner, enabling participants to synthesize information, make informed decisions, and explore advanced deliberate planning theories beyond discipline-specific planning roles.

  • Recall the planning process and identify key resources to support effective emergency planning.
  • Apply lead planner and project management skills to guide a planning team through various planning theories and phases.
  • Use adaptive systems thinking to develop a jurisdictional network model that informs the formation and structure of a planning team.
