Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide professionals with a set of guiding principles for exercise programs as well as a common approach to exercise program management, design and development, conduct, evaluation, and improvement planning.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Review the continuous iterative processes used to manage preparedness efforts in support of a community’s overall resilience in the face of risks and hazards.
  • Maintain the fundamental link between the exercise and improvement planning.
  • Exercise planning teams apply guidance from senior officials to shape the key concepts and planning considerations for an individual exercise or series of exercises.
  • Exercise conduct involves activities such as preparing the exercise plan, managing exercise play, and conducting immediate exercise wrap-up activities.
  • Identify the existing state of the capabilities within the given jurisdiction/organization and the areas that require additional improvements following exercise conduct.
