Description

Objective:

The purpose of this course is to provide a foundational understanding of key components of the unix/linux and windows operating systems.

Learning Outcomes:

  • demonstrate understanding of Windows API, Windows registry, and dynamically linked libraries, and Unix/Linux shared objects;
  • operate Windows and Linux command line syntax, file structures, and data management;
  • describe a general operating system boot process and some security and protection topics as they relate to operating systems;
  • describe user and group credentials and light security topics.
  • apply command shell tools and techniques;
