Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide personnel new to S&CI analysis a strong foundational understanding of the analysis process; develops core analytic skills to include critical thinking, effective writing, and persuasive briefing; and introduces various structured analytic techniques. Students will learn to define their intelligence question, engage with customers and collaborators, plan their analysis and perform comprehensive research, extract relevant information and analyze data, and effectively communicate their findings. This course emphasizes the basics of analysis and provides a broad overview of analytic problems faced by security and counterintelligence analysts with the following specialties: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Police, Counterintelligence, and Network Security.
