• demonstrate comprehension of general facts and salient details by applying the principles of word formation, contextual and real-world clues, and effective listening strategies with controlled use of dictionaries and reference material
• construct a verbatim transcript with at least 80% accuracy, using dictionaries and appropriate reference materials to help produce an accurate, grammatically correct solution

• produce a clear, concise, idiomatic English rendering of the target text that accurately conveys the tone and meaning of the original with at least 80% accuracy, using dictionaries and appropriate reference materials to help produce an accurate, grammatically correct solution
• practice with his/her peers and instructor on the topic while utilizing proper pronunciation, grammar, word order, ezafe placement, and word usage accurately convey meaning as if to a native speaker at the 2/2+ level in accordance with the rubric provided
• employ basic grammar concepts in the target language
• produce a five (5) minute presentation in the target language on a given topic in accordance with the final project checklist
• identify social customs, beliefs, and sensitivities associated with the target language with minimal error
