Description

Objective:

To provide students with a solid understanding of cost and pricing factors essential to making sound contract negotiation decisions. Working through an integrated case study, participants determine a prenegotiation position by calculating cost and price/cost objectives.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Determine when cost analysis should be used
  • Identify the use and application of a contract audit
  • Explain the implications of having an acceptable estimating and accounting, purchasing, and internal control systems
  • Determine a prenogiation objective for direct and indirect costs including labor, materials, overhead, and other costs
