Description

Objective:

The objective of the course is to provide participants with knowledge about critical issues that arise in creating a vision, aligning people to that vision, and energizing them to achieve the vision; and, to impart to participants the knowledge and tools necessary to enhance and build on their leadership skills in the workplace.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Assess their own leadership style and competencies, then focus on areas for improvement
  • Develop leadership plans to prioritize needs in developing their leadership abilities in the workplace
  • Describe the relationship of leadership to management, how to deal with motivational differences in individuals, interpersonal communication, negotiating conflict, managing change, and ethical issues in leadership
