Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide non-financial managers an introduction and comprehensive overview for financial management. Students will learn how to create financial accounting statements, conduct an analysis of the reports, and make conclusions about the financial condition of an organization. The course also focuses on the use of financial concepts and analytical techniques to provide information for managerial decision-making in organizations.

  • Analyze how business transactions are recorded in the financial records of an organization
  • Identify the accounting principles used to create the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows
  • Identify the common forms of ration analysis performed with financial statements in order to evaluate the financial condition of an organization
