Description

Objective:

The course objective is to acquaint the new Army Family and MWR Program Manager with a basic knowledge of, and tools for, their key areas of responsibility to empower them to lead their program effectively and efficiently in accordance with Army philosophy, regulations, and procedures, and to be an enduring searchable resource for future reference.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Upon completion of the course, the learner will have a basic knowledge, and an enduring searchable resource, of key areas of responsibility necessary for leading an Army program.
  • The course focuses on the core competencies of overall business administration, including financial management; budgeting; acquisition management; management controls; safety and risk insurance; human resources management (appropriated fund employees and non-appropriated fund employees); and marketing.
  • The course contains business tools such as downloadable budget worksheets, standardized forms and links to full Army regulations for future use and reference.
