Description

Objective:

To provide knowledge of youth and adolescent program standards, coaching and mentoring skills, and tools that will enable them to create an effective training program, build positive relationships; focus on customer needs, and implement effective programming.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate observation and feedback skills, define the roles and responsibilities of the TAPS, and apply knowledge of youth and adolescent growth and development
  • Demonstrate knowledge of program tools and initiatives that support programming and training
  • Apply the theories of situational leadership, adult learning, coaching, and personality type
  • Implement the Army school-age, middle school, and teen foundation training program and use the individual development plan as a tool
