Description

Objective:

To provide Employment Readiness Program managers with knowledge, skills, tools, and competencies to effectively manage employment readiness programs.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop marketing strategies aimed at target populations and potential partners
  • Develop a realistic action plan for ERP
  • Relate employment readiness programs with soldier readiness and retention
  • Describe the need, history, purpose, stakeholders, reporting hierarchy, program elements, roles and responsibilities of employees within employment readiness programs
  • Explain the APF budget cycle and budget process, meet budgeted objectives and mission requirements
  • Demonstrate employment assessment, interviewing, coaching, and counseling techniques
  • Brief the group using adult learning principles
